Happy Halloween!!

Halloween is my absolute favourite holiday. My bestie and I take our costumes very seriously, and always make our not so scary ensembles from scratch. After five years of animal inspired costumes (sharks, owls, etc.) we decided to shift to a less majestic favourite….the pizza slice. 

Project report: For the birds mittens

I’ve been working on another set of what I call “for the birds” mittens. They’re you’re basic women’s mitt, with a ribbed cuff and seed-stitch body – knitted with my favourite shade of eco-friendly Peruvian wool.

My sketchbook: zigzags

I’ve been in love with zigzag patterns in for the past few seasons, but haven’t been able to knit them up without serious effort and lots of quiet cursing. Herringbone stitch scarves have become my go-to project, but I can’t help coveting mitts and hats with the same zig-zag motif.
